Caller ID type questiong

hey everyone i just have a question with caller id on my cell. My dad has his cell through verizon for work and like say when he calls a house it will show up with his first and last name. Is there a way to add my name to my cell phone number and how would i do this?

on my Q9C, if you go into edit the contact, one of the boxes is file as. you can switch it there. RB has a program in his ap page that does it also. just look in his signature for the link to his page.

sweet so if you did that and say you call a house with caller id on there line than whatever u put there, like your name will show up? And i looked through RB's app page not sure which one it would be though do you know?

I believe that is determined by the network. I am with Sprint, and when I call my house, it just shows up as Wireless Caller on my home caller id.

hellachopper, dafoxs is referring to how caller id shows up on your Q, not how caller id shows up on your land line.

Contact Changer is the ap. when you edit the contact, that changes how it shows up on your phone only.

My bad, you can fix it on your cell. some landlines have the option to store contacts also.

Oh no haha thats not what im trying to do. I want to make it so that instead of when i call a house how it comes up as wireless caller and my number but i want it to say my first and last name than my number

only way is that other phone has to store you as a contact.

that has nothing to do with your phone. you need to call your carrier and see if there is anything they can do.
