I've tried Sprint, Alltell, Cingular and Verizon. In my opinion Verizon has the rest of them beat hands down. The network is bigger, I have fewer dropped calls (I don't care what the commercials say, I just know from my own experience), and the phones they have to offer are amazing.
I agree that verizon has the best network but they just started to carry the best new phones. Remember they were last to get the treo 650 but 1st to debut the 700p.
My experience with Cingular has been on better side, than with one of the above listed carriers, other than Congular.
They have attended to my calls sincerely and service has been satisfactory. Sure Verizon is bigger and all, but I can only talk about Cingular and other carrier I have used.
Been with T-Mobile, Cingular, Nextel, and Sprint, they are all bad. Verizon is the best of the worst. IMHO, there is no PERFECT wireless carrier in the US, Verizon just does the best job at being "not so bad!"

Well, I am counting down the days to be able to switch from Nextel to Verizon. I work for a company that gets a discount so that is very nice since I can save some money. I am waiting for the day I can order my Q and play. I have been reseraching since last month...I can switch in the middle of net month.
I had Verizon years ago, then AT&T, Nextel, and Cingular, and back to Verizon. Network-wise I've found Verizon to be the best in this area.. haven't had to deal with customer service much.. aside from Cingular CSD, and man they are a bunch of lying thieves.
I wish I had more hands so I could give Cingular four thumbs down.
