I was already a verizon wireless customer and I called verizon about the online specials for the Q, I was told I was not eligible for the early upgrade or the online discoutns and that Q was going to cost me around $400.

I went to a local Verizon Wireless store, and after it was all said and done the phone costed me $99.

I would suggest going into a Verizon Wireless Store.

Best suggestion I've read on this link. I have better luck at the store face to face than I ever have had on the phone.

As for the Blackjack, I don't think I care for Cingular's slow service.

They may be able to. I've been reading about a special corporate plan that some people have had luck signing up for that provides unlimited data, 800 text messages and 100 picture messages for $20.

Anybody have any luck with this? Especially in VA? I was told it was "released on a blog and a corporate thing only that shouldn't have been leaked". Same story as other people said on different forums.

I got my Q for about $40 at Verizon

I was due for my new every two so I got $100 credit

Another $100 credit for upgrading to the data plan

And then the 50 rebate plus some discount for having Triple A

After signing a new two year contract, I ended up getting the phone for around $40 before the extended battery.

Gotta go to the store and deal with a sales person.
The one in my town is always busy and it can take a couple hours but saving a few hundred bucks is worth the wait.

That's the cheapest I've seen for a new Q so far.

I was on the phone with VZWCSR today for about 1/2 hour. The CSR could not find the PDATP plan in any screen. Although she said she would emailme if she found out something else, she came to the conclusion that it was regional b/c when she cross-checked with a Northeast plan, she saw it. I live in Lancaster, PA (in the Midwest network). No dice for me, but many others have added it successfully. Sweet plan if you can get it.

On Dec 23rd I went to the store to upgrade my phone to the Q in Silver. I have been with Verizon for 6 years now.

I called customer service just to make sure that I was eligible for my early upgrade. Someone in their customer service dept told me that I was able to get the $200 off if I changed my plan to the Core 450 min with unl data but for some reason the store didn’t want to honor it.

I made the store manager give a credit for $49.99 off the unlimited data for one month and I kept the same plan that I had and I didn’t change it to the CORE I just renewed my contract. The phone at the store cost me $200.00 because they only gave me $100 mail in.

I only used the dang phone for 5 days, once I found out that the lovely black Q was available then I called customer service and they told me to simply return the Q in silver back and call in to place the order.

I DID……..

Then they want to tell me that I can’t because the Q in black was not available to order over the phone until January 12th????? AND they were pulling the same crap on me on how this was an online exclusive offer.

I LOST IT!!!!!!!!!!

After numerous calls to Verizon, I eventually found a rep that was able to order the black Q over the phone. She gave me $100.00 instant. She also gave me $100.00 mail in rebate and yes I am current customer. I just simply upgraded my phone this year like any other year. I just had to change my plan from $59.99 900 min to the Core 450 Min with unl data for $79.99. Not only that but she also ended up giving me 100 bonus min free for 12 months.

IT WAS A BATTLE THOUGH yet it was worth it because I only paid $50.00 bucks for it.
