Not sure about how TMobile's system works, but all phones can send SMS messages, but with USC, as soon as you try and send an attachment, its actually a MMS or picture msg which on USC smartphones, are not available. As a matter of fact, when setting up your account up with a smart phone, the USC system won't allow the MMS feature code to be placed onto your account. Since its not on your account, you will not be able to use it (sort of along the lines of not being able to use EasyEdge if you do not have that feature on your account).
With USC, you can renew your contract on any line once you have reached the 80% mark; i.e. if you signed a 2 year contract and that contract expires on 8/30/06, then you can renew that line 4 months earlier on 5/1/08. if you had signed a 1 year contract, then you can renew 2 months earlier.
