Default Receiving Phone Calls to Voicemail

I have been running into a problem where my phone will not ring and it immediately goes to voicemail when someone tries to call me. I probably have fat fingered a setting but I am unable to figure out what I need to re-configure. Can someone help me out?

I don't think that there is a setting that will send callers right to VM, but I could be wrong. Some other ideas would be if you are at work or home, and the phone is sitting someplace without coverage, then it will send the callers right to VM.

I have noticed that even though I get full coverage in my building, when I am sitting at my desk with the phone in my belt case, then for some reason it drops service.

It could also need a restart. I try and restart my phone once a day; for being "smartphones" they are also a little more high maitnence. Two more quick questions: (1) Did you recently install any new programs on your phone? (2) Did you possibly put your phone in airplane mode by holding down the home button, going into wireless manager, and turning off the phone radio, sometimes this can be done if you put it in your pocket without locking the keypad.

Good luck and let me know if you need any other help.

I think I should just go ahead just reboot the Q every day. I move between having my phone connect via Bluetooth in my car and not connected during the day. Also in areas where the signal is pretty low. Plus I have push mail (emoze) and it will go to VM when a push is coming through.

When this happens do you notice a notice a computer icon by the battery meter? If your Q is trying to create a connection to retrieve email it will show that icon and calls will go straight to vmail without any missed call indicator. If you have it set to check for email every 15 minutes this could be your problem.

I'm having this problem, too. It is driving me nuts! I've checked everything suggested...so I'm gonna master reset today.

I also hate how sometimes my phone calls won't disconnect. Gotta take the battery out.

Ive seen a few things that could cause it to happen.

1) Phone has been on for a long period of time. usually power cycling helps that.
2) I've seen it where somehow in their system, the call-forward all gets screwed up and causes all your calls to go directly to VM. Call tech support and have them check and if needbe, reset that setting.
3) Bad phone

This is what is occurring. I use emoze push mail and this seems to occur when a push is coming through.

This is probably unrelated, ut what I'm noticing is that since using emoze my after X amount of time the signal indicator says no signal. If I make a call the actual signal strength will show and call will go through. but it is annoying to always see no signal on the phone. I've tried power cycling, and a battery pull for over a minute (So it can reboot) to no avail. Any suggestions?

The same type of phenomenon occurs with my Moto Q as well. But usually power cycling usually corrects things. You know it is Windows, when nothing else works, Reboot.

I have1 the exact same problem and have contacted Motorola directly and they tell me that it's what an erlier poster said.....it is becuase a call is coming in when the phone is trying to send/receive mail and it's internal settings are set to give mail priority over voice calls which isn't right. They are "SUPPOSED" to fix it, but that was months ago and I haven't heard ANYTHING from anyone. If anyone knows of an update, please post so.
