Default No Email Menu

I just got my new US Cellular Q and when I try to set up email, the menus are grayed out and won't respond. I cant hit "next," just cancel. Is this a USC issue or a software issue?

welcome aboard, goto the Messaging screen, select any account (Text Messages, Outlook E-mail) once there click Menu > Options > New Account and go through the setup.

Default Still Can't send Email

I can't send email from my company account. Discussions with USCC tech support indicate that they do not provide an outgoing email server like Sprint does. I can receive email all day, but can't reply to any of them, because my company server won't work outside its own domain for outgoing email. Have any other users had this problem?

Heres the cure for it
go to messaging>select the account you set-up and named>menu>options>account options>(select the account you named)>hit next 3 times.
at this point you should be at the incoming server and outgoing server set up.>
#1 leave the incoming server settings alone.

#2 uncheck "require SSL connection"

#3 outgoing server should be smtp.uscc.net
this setting should be used for any E-mail service provider you are having sending / receiving errors with. I currently have metrocast, that was an issue, there were also problem with comcast, roadrunner and a few others.

#4 uncheck "outgoing server requires authentication"

click next 3 more times and then done. now try to send and receive.... this WILL work ! hope this helps lots !

usc does have an outgoing server for customers with ISP blocking outgoing email.. use smtp.uscc.net for the outgoing server and do NOT check requires authentication. Should solve the issue for you.
