Rwading through the other forums I wanted to make sure that my features worked as well on US Cellular.

This is such a new deal for them that I am unsure of their capabilities, like Video streaming from the web, the active sync, etc

I LOVE MY Q!

pretty much everything you'll read on the forums here works on all Q's.. (there are always exceptions, like only Verizon customers can send MMS/pic messaging) but major programs, applications. home screens & ring tones work on all Q's.. and if you doubt, just ask.

Everything seems to work pretty much as on Verizon's Q, although since you are running on 1x instead of EV-DO (unless of course you live in Milwaukee, WI), the speed is a little slower. From what I've heard, EV-DO will be expanding in 2008, and when it comes, your phone is completely capable of using it.

You do NOT have MMS, although you can get around that (see related article in this forum), and US Cellular doesn't allow use of the phone as a tethered modem.

While streaming from YouTube is possible on 1x, it's not optimal unless you do a registry edit (which I'm not experienced enough to do).

Doesn't TCPMP help out here?

Yeah, you can play them with TCPMP, but for me it was choppy and had to buffer every 5 seconds until I did the registry edit and it's better now. Also, someone mentioned a buffer setting in TCPMP, but I think the version I have doesn't have the option to change the buffer setting. Weird.
