Default I can't use my voicemail

I have tried adding the wait and pause along with the password but it won't dial in from my q. If I only call my voicemail and press * like I normally would with another phone it does nothing! Can someone please help me!

Welcome to EQ.
Just so I understand you correctly you have entered pauses into your voicemail and it doesn't work.
Now if you remove them, does pressing * work?
If I understand, you still have the pauses in and are hitting *.
Clarify for me a bit and I will try and help unless others beat me to it.

Go to start > settings > phone settings > DTMF.
This should be set to short.

USC jsut did a VM conversion in New England, so if you live in that area, make sure you VM number under Settings, Call Information, has no pauses or a * in it. The new VM system sees a * and interprets that as a cancel/back up button.

Other than that, make sure your DTMF settings is set correctly.

Thank you guys SOOO much I just got this phone and it's a BIG change from the razr. I changed the DTMF setting (it was off) and it fixed the problem! But I do have another question. When you recieve a call or a message notification is there anyway to silence it? I know you can hit ignore with a call but I haven't figured out with the messaging notification, I've tried a lot of things but the ringtone will play until the end. Any help is appreciated!

No, unfortunately the only way is to use a shorter tone for the messaging.
