I spoke to US Cellular yesterday about the issue - (again!) and asked them about the firmware upate. They claimed no knowledge of it. What they did do was to send me another phone. when I get it, it will make my fourth one. All three have had this issue, all three from the same store. I have had four calls now interrupted due to a reboot, the most ironic being when I was calling US Cellular to ask about the issue. Depending on who you talk to in customer service, some will tell you they know about the issue, and some deny it exists. One CSR tried to tell me it was my fault for running third party software. Until I told him that the phone was still in factory configuration besides my contacts.
If the next phone I receive still does it, I'm getting my money back and changing carriers. Maybe I'll go to Sprint, at least then the GPS would work.
