Default Auto Reboot Issues

Anybody else with a Q9c having issues with the phone rebooting itself several times a day? I've had mine for a week and it started doing this a couple of days after I got it. On Saturday I caught it rebooting 8 times; Sunday 6; only once so far today (that I've seen).

It reboots when nothing is running and it is just sitting on a table - no jostling or anything like a loose battery makes it happen.

Any ideas? (thanks in advance)

I have had my Q for a little over a week, and I noticed it rebooting today for the first time. No rhyme nor reason, just a random reboot. First and only time it's happened.

update:

My phone suddenly started rebooting like mad the other day. A total of ten times in a single day, twice during business calls. I took it back and got a new one yesterday, so we'll see how this one does. I'll update you if this one has issues as well.

I have had my phone for about a week and a half and it has rebooted about 6 times already.

Here's what I've learned so far:

On my Q9c, it will reboot/reset itself all day and all night at random times. Only once has it done it when it was in use.

I had my phone set to check email every 5 minutes. As an experiment, I changed that setting to manual. The phone stopped resetting.

USCC says they expect to have a firmware fix around July 9.

One guy on another forum who had a resetting 9c, didn't have an email account set up and was still having the problem...

Great find! I'll try this to confirm. Great news on the firmware fix.

I spoke to US Cellular yesterday about the issue - (again!) and asked them about the firmware upate. They claimed no knowledge of it. What they did do was to send me another phone. when I get it, it will make my fourth one. All three have had this issue, all three from the same store. I have had four calls now interrupted due to a reboot, the most ironic being when I was calling US Cellular to ask about the issue. Depending on who you talk to in customer service, some will tell you they know about the issue, and some deny it exists. One CSR tried to tell me it was my fault for running third party software. Until I told him that the phone was still in factory configuration besides my contacts.

If the next phone I receive still does it, I'm getting my money back and changing carriers. Maybe I'll go to Sprint, at least then the GPS would work.

It seems that turning off the auto check on the email works. I haven't had a reboot for two days.

I've had my Sprint Q9c for months, and heard mine rebooting the other night. I deleted a few programs I recently installed that could have affected it, and will keep watching. I don't mind, as I regularly reboot.
