WM6 for Sprint Q? - Motorola Q Forum

I was lurking over at Hello MotoQ. Someone posted Sprint was in the process of updating the Q for WM6. Not much other details. Here is the link to the thread:

Could be. Last I remember was Sprint was looking into upgrading. This is the first time I heard they were actually in the process of creating the upgrade, and it would be available sometime in the future.

I did notice the other day when I ran the Motorola Software Updater it updated it's self. I was all giddy hoping maybe that meant there was a new phone update also. No such luck however.

I emailed eCare Yesterday about this question..and they told me they expect to have more details & release date within the next 20 days.

Here's to hoping. A jump straight to WM6.1 would completely make up for the lack of update before now.
I've said before... it would make business sense for Moto to wait until they had the new generation of Q's well-established. Look at all the folks here who have paid to trade up to the Q9C. ;-)

we will see if this is actually true. I really hope so. I just upgraded my wifes phone to a Q as well.

I doubt it will happen.. what will probably happen is a price drop for the original q and them promoting the new q in stores.. It makes sense because they are a business foremost they wont upgrade an older model when they can make profit off the newer one...
