Default Voice Mail Indicator on Home Screen

I am having a slight problem with the voicemail notification on my home screen. If I have no voicemails and get a new one, the voicemail indicator changes from 0 to 1. The problem is that when I get new voicemails, the number never changes from 1. I can have 10 new messages, but the indicator only stays on 1.

Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

did you try for test to select another home screen, it could be an issue in the particular .xml you are using.

I believe it is an issue with the way that Sprint notifies your phone of voicemail. On every other Sprint phone that I have had, if the phone is already displaying a voicemail notification, then it will not receive a second notification when additional voice messages are received. Which means that if I have a voicemail notification sitting on my screen because I have not checked my voicemail since someone left a message, and a second person leaves a message, I will not know about it until I call voicemail. If the network does not tell the Q when a second voice message comes in, then the Q would not know to update the count.

All of that being said, if anyone else knows a workaround, I would greatly appreciate it. However, I think it is a limitation of the network.

Thank you. I guess now that I think about it, that has happened with all my sprint phones. This seems like something easy to correct. Unbelievable that Sprint hasn't corrected this issue.

I know this is an old thread but my voicemail indicator works now. Ever since I updated to 6.1 my Q9c homescreen has been showing the correct number of voicemails. 6.1 just keeps getting better.
