I need help getting connected. I use Sprint and just got my Q today. Thinking of taking it back now that I see it's not so easy to use the sprint connection manager or bluetooth to browse the internet. I have the vision services in my plan and have never had trouble with this before with other phones. I would just have the manager call #777 and would get right on, but this phone is not even recognized by the sprint connection manager.

Thanks for any help.

Get online using http://www.junefabrics.com/pdanet/ (PdaNet)

Speed depends on where you live and the signal you are receiving. I get around 180kb/s. Downloads for me can range anywhere between 5kb/s to 55kb/s (average seems to be 30ish). It is quite noticeably faster than dialup. At the same time though, it is also noticeably slower than DSL/cable, especially downloading speeds.

Also, don't even think about gaming on one of these phone's connection.. expect an average ping of ~300 (of course plus or minus a bit depending on where you live).

Default Trying PDANET

Thanks. I'm working on it. Can't get Active sync to find my MOTO Q yet. Have tried 4 USB ports so far and no luck. I did purchase the PdaNet so I hope I can get it to work.

Ok, I'll give that a shot when I get back into trying to make it work later tonight. Thanks for all your help. I hate to have to return my Q just because I can't use it as a modem like I did before with my older phone. And I'm not going to pay $40 a month to Sprint.. I'm already paying them over $100.

I have not tried the bluetooth connections with my PDAnet yet, but I got it to work with the USB cable. I can't get my laptop to connect back to my own wireless network, though, unless I reboot after trying PDAnet.
