Also I have insurance on it.
It's hard to say for sure. Sprint seems to be cracking down on replacing the Q9c for free but as you can see from this thread it is happening.
Seem to get better results from going through e-care than from calling. I sent an e-care email and was promised a free replacement Q9c, it took over 2 weeks to receive mine but I did get it and sent them back the original Q.
It's definitely worth a try but I don't think any of us could say for sure that it's going to work. It's hit or miss with them.

Thanks a bunch bchill

TarHeelsRule, I noticed you said it took over two weeks for your phone to come, when e-care approved your upgrade, did you have to call sprint to follow up?

Everyone else that was approved through e-care, was your phone sent as promised, or did you have to call to follow up?

TIA

Mine arrived the day after I sent the e-mail. This was in early december and all I did was ask if they were offering an upgrade from the Q1.

I called to make sure it had been sent off. I was never told that it wouldn't be shipped or that someone had tried to override the free replacement. I know DrQ had to fight to get Sprint to honor the original ecare email stating that he was to receive a free Q9c but I didn't. I guess mine was simply delayed due to the holidays.

So, I called sprint and was on hold for 45 minutes, told there was no order placed, was transferred and then hung up on... I called back and spoke to a very sweet customer service rep, told her about all of the problems and mentioned the Verizon 30 day trial. She explained how I was a very loyal and appreciated customer that Sprint did not want to lose and that she is so sorry I went through so much with the phone and other cust service reps, put everything in the notes and transferred me to "a higher level dept" (I think retentions) After looking through the notes, he claimed he saw no order as well and had me forward him a copy of the email to his personal sprint address. After he received the email, all of a sudden the order mysteriously appeared. My Q9c was at the warehouse and waiting to be sent, and I will indeed receive it in 3-5 days with a return kit for my Q.

I asked him why no one was able to see the order before, including him, and he claimed that the order was in another system (yeah right, he probably didn't think I had proof and was making things up...smh) Sorry for the long post, but just wanted to warn others to be careful when going through e-care b/c although you are promised a phone, you may not actually receive it. I will keep you guys posted and let you know if/when I receive my phone.

Did they send those of you who got the phones through the Assurance insurance process or did you just deal with sprint directly. They are trying to send me through Assurance.

I was afraid of that. They are wanting me to file a claim with the insurance company.
