Hey,

You'll get a pre-paid UPS envelope to toss your old handset in.... It comes with a label and everything...

Later,

Matt!

Camera or Multimedia ..No Cigar

I called Sprint spoke with retentions twice.. first time the guy offered it to me for 250.. Told them I was on the verizon plan and I would leave if i didnt get the newer model.. 150-250 was his final offer..

Called a bit later spoke with another person He hinted at the same thing I said the most id be willing to pay is 50 bux he said its gonna cost me more than that for them to send me the new model. I again threatened to terminate.

His advice was for me to call insurance and have them just send me the newer model.. Called insurance the rep said she couldnt change it in the system and it would just be the same model. Las resort I called motorola the same thing new version of the existing model.. Any more ideas? maybe in california its more difficult

I called for my sister today. She does not have a moto q , but an old samsung flipphone. Now she has had it for 2 years and they offered to give me the Q9 for $99.99. I said I want it for 50, and they said $99, PLUS 10% off her bill for the next year! I didnt need to resign the contract either! She got a pretty good deal I think. I wish I woulda got this deal with my year old Q.
Anyways I hope my sister will like the Q. She texts a lot and now has a real job in chicago and this will be good for keeping her calender together.

Not really sure how this would work, wouldn't they want their phone back when you cancel the service?? But Best Buy does have them on sale this week, signup and get it for free!

Hmmmm....

You can try Best buy until 12/22 they are giving the Q9c free with a 2 year contract with Sprint

Well, I'm a new Q user, picked up a used Q a few weeks ago, but like all tech junkies, I wanted the new Q9C (gotta have the latest toys, wife thinks I'm crazy). I decided to call in to see how much the Q9C would be, knowing full well that I only qualify for the $75 discount at this time. Talked to two different reps. and was told both times that $75 was all I could get off, so I told the guy it would be cheaper for me to pay the $200 termination fee and go to Verizon rather than pay the $375 ($450 - $75) for the phone. He said that was my decision to make but he would like to put me touch with retentions first. After a long hold the woman I spoke with was very nice, I explained my situation, she says let me see what I can get the Q9C to you for, sounded like a calculator being worked to death, then she says I can get you a Q9C for $74.99 if you will stay with Sprint and re-up my contract for 2 years. I said fine and it was done. Would have preferred to not re-up the contract, but to be honest, I would have anyhow next time I wanted a phone. Anyhow, might be worth a shot for you as well...

I just called best buy to see if I could get the new Q for $0 and just add 2 years to my contract. Nope. The girl I talked to tried to do the same thing she admitted! She said best buy only deals out new contracts and can not extend one. Dag... Only have one more day to think of a plan to get this $0 best buy moto q9c.

Think. Think. Think.

maybe try and use the new sprint contract change to get out of the ETF then get a new contract from bestbuy.

Hehe, I love this forum!

I just got off the phone with CS (I don't even know if it was retentions) and they are overnight shipping a Q9C to me for $149.99. Additionally, they are giving me FREE Vision service on my phone (I was paying $10 per month before) and they threw in a Katana II for my wife at no addiitonal charge. Both my lines also now have free unlimited text messaging, which we did not have before.

It gets better... this isn't an exchange, I get to keep my current Q and do whatever with it. Can you say eBaaaaay...

Anyone else considering it, I wasn't rude or aggressive and I never really threatened to cancel my service (except when the automated voice answered on *2)... I was just honest about the situation. I just said that my Q wasn't performing anywhere close to how it was advertised in the battery department, and the idea of having to disable things like GPS and bluetooth just to get through the day was pretty crazy.

I personally think its more about what you spend with the company than what you say.. we have a pretty high plan right now. Although I'm sure there are exceptions for you fast talkers...
