Called saturday again and they keep giving me worse deals. They offered me 300 for the q9. I said I talked to someone earlier and they told me 250, so then he offered it for 200. I said yes, becuase I just need this phone to be working. He also extended my contract for one year hes not giving me any service discount either. Many of the other reps offered to take 15% off my contract too if i extended. oh well. The q9 dosent seem a whole lot different tho, maybe something cool will come out within 30 days so i can do an exchange.

Just got off the phone with Sprint. They are going to upgrade my phone for free as a courtesy. I should get the Q9c on Wednesday and just have to send back my current Q.

I'm curious did you qualify for an upgrade? What did you say? My Q should be replaced with at least a 100% functioning phone.

Raggae,

Now, we have to figure out how to convince them to let us keep our older Q as an emergency backup (even though it has problems, I would still feel safer having a backup available). Let me know if you have any thoughts...

Thanks,

Matt!

UPDATE: I called Sprint, and talked to retentions again, and they offered me to upgrade to the q9c for $149.99, but then offered to replace my current Q with a new Q (not q9c), and to send my old one back. So at least I am making some progress here.

According to e-care, when I sent an e-mail, I do not qualify for any upgrades. I will qualify for $75 discount on a phone in April. They told me if I could not afford the Q9c I should just buy a cheaper phone.

So I called in and spoke with a rep. Told her about the problems with my Q and several batteries as well as a trip to my local Sprint Store were fruitless. She is giving me the Q9c free as a courtesy.

It would have been nice to keep my old Q, but I am not going to complain too much. I am getting a brand new phone for free. Can't have everything right?

Well I have been having problems with my Q battery, and the phone bricking... so a free new Q being sent to me I am satisfied with for now.

Default They upgraded mine.

My Q is locked in a boot cycle so I gave tech support a call. spent about an hour getting transfered around at Sprint. After arguing with a retention CSR I asked to speak with a supervisor. I explained all the problems I've had (first Q caught on fire in my pocket) and asked to be upgraded. We
argued a bit more and she finally agreed to send me a Q9c for the price of the insurance deductible ($50). I have a $300 credit on my account right now anyway from one of their many billing screw ups, so I'm not worried about the $50.

My advice is to be firm and mention several times that they sold you a defective product and that replacing it with the same model won't solve anything.

Plus, now my wife will get my Q (newly replaced a week ago due to my former Q bricking) and I will get the Q9c.

I just got off the phone with Sprint and they are sending me a New Q9c FREE OF CHARGE! Just say you are on the Verizon 30 day trial and are willing to leave.
