Well, I got it! It's here and it's great! For all those trying to upgrade --be firm, be persistent, and don't give up! It's worth it, haven't had time to try everything out yet but I can't wait! (I'm doing the happy dance)

Good for you, it is a my far much better phone than the original Q IMHO. I did the happy dance about a month ago.

It's definitely worth the effort to try and get Sprint to replace the original Q. Have fun customizing it and making it your own. That's what I love about this phone, we can have the same phone but yours is customized totally different from mine.

I got mine too and its so awesome. The Q was great but the Q9c is a great improvement and its really pretty I think.

Your wife's phone was whitescreened meaning it wouldn't work and they made you pay $150 to get a replacement??? It would seem that she should have been able to pay her $50 deductible and get another through insurance.

I don't have a copy of the email that I sent to ecare but it's really seems to be hit or miss as to who receives the email. But in mine I just listed the various problems I was having with the original Q and urged them to let me know what they were going to do to rectify the situation asap as other carriers were offering some goods deals to lure customers to their network. With Valetine's Day coming up there are some sweet deals out there for other phones. Remind Sprint of that and politely how dissatisfied you are with their customer service in handling your wifes phone and in keeping you both as customers.

I sent a copy of my email to DrQ maybe if he still has it he can provide you with a copy. But you wouldn't be copying it verbatim anyway so just send your own and see what happens.

Also it may help to mention that at one point they were doing this for customers who didn't have any issues (i.e. Me, althougb I don't have the email any more) and the fact that they were doing this should have been advertised.

Heres my e-mail. But I think it'll help if you have had noted problems with the Q.
I have been a Sprint customer for about two years and I love
Sprint and have been happy with them however I do have problem. I have
a Motorola Q which I am unhappy with due to a number of problems and
I've had to replace it once already. The problems I have with my phone
are bluetooth is not very good at all and I need that feature especially
for work. It is also very slow at times and people also complain that
they cannot hear me when I'm on a phone call. I've always had very good
reception with my Sprint phones but the Q seems to have poor reception
a lot of the time. Yesterday I had to hard reset my phone due to some
problems which still seem to linger. I also notice the keyboard messes
up and doesn't type everything I'm typing and that is very annoying. I
would like to know if its possible to trade my Q for the Q9c, my friend
has a Q9c and I've played around with it and it seems like such an
improvement over the Q. I am still able to return this phone to a store
but I'm a busy person and the closest store to me is not very close at
all. Thanks for your time.

I lost my phone last week (2/1/08) and when I tried to get Assurance to send me a new Q in place of the original, the first thing they told me was that I could buy one for new at around $149.00. I was going to push the issue, but thought, my contract is up in once year and I'm going to get an Iphone, so why bother.

I LOVE SPRINT! So, I got my Q updated to the Q9c (FREE,FREE,FREE) a few days ago and it kicks a$$! (Did I mention FREE through ecare?) I think I let the success go to my head because then I decided to try to switch to the SERO plan. They were more than willing to switch me over but I'd have to change my number and I wasn't willing to do that. SOOOOOO........ the awesome rep I spoke to in retentions played around in the system and came up with some way so that I now have on 1 line: unlimited data, 500 free texts/mo., Sprint TV(basic) and radio and, unlimited pic and videomail and on the Q9c line I have: unlimited data, 500 free texts/mo. Sprint TV Premium, and unlimited Sprint Nav for $5 less a month than the SERO would have cost me!!!! This is also less than I paid before for just having data plan on one phone, no texts, no NAV etc... SPRINT IS FRIGGIN AWESOME!!!!
