what do you mean you lose data connection every time you plug it in?
you need to be a little more specific....what exactly is happening?
An unlocked phone is a phone that is not currently tied to any account. Once it is tied to an account it is locked. So therefore there IS such a thing as an unlocked phone. I never said I was going to go in a buy a Verizon phone and stick it on Sprint service. I said I was going to buy a Q9c, which is a Sprint phone. I am going in on Friday and buying a brand new Q9c from Sprint.

i have talked about my data connection lots, please look at my other posts and you will find out what I am talking about. I have tried everything when it comes to getting this fixed and the problem is Vista.

And you should know there is no such thing as an unlocked Sprint phone and your company does not need a Blackberry Server for you to us a Blackberry device and get your email - the data plan costs way too much, but you do not necessarily need BIS. You think all those HS kids with Pearls and Curves have BIS sitting in their closets at home?
Yes, I have tried that. Once again, read my previous posts and topics and you will see that.

I'm not even going into the whole unlocked thing again. How do you suggest I get my email then w/o BIS? What data plan? I don't think the HS kids that have the Pearl's and Curve's are running Corporate email. i think they mainly get them for texting.

ok, if you want people to help you, you need to learn the proper terminology...'unlocked' in the cell world refers to GSM phones with SIM cards...not something that is associated with CDMA phones. What you are referring to as 'unlocked' would be better termed as 'a sprint phone with a clear ESN'....it is not considered 'unlocked'. by confusing the two terms you are going to solicit the wrong type of answers....

well, in order to recieve help from knowledgable sources you need to clarify questions that are asked of you...but don't worry, im sure with your level of expertise and knowledge you will be able to figure it all out on your own...

I think end of story is that this is an issue with Vista not your phone. If you're getting a new 9c that's awesome. The thing is that you're not the only person to have issues connecting their PPC or smartphone to Vista.

I have checked it out, hence why I am buying one. I believe if you read the about post you will see that a user has checked this on his q9c and it worked. I just want a Q9c too lol

I did check before I typed that, but it was not clear. Sorry.

There are a couple of ways you can get company email w/o the company having BIS - forwarding is one and you can POP on a Blackberry and there are 3rd party options (forward your work email to a service and have them route it to your BB).
