Text Consolidation (Spritnt Q User) - Motorola Q Forum

Okay, I'm new to the Q migrating from the Treo 650 and I must say I love this phone. One thing I noticed is when I text someone it doesn't keep track of the person I'm texting and consolidate the text. Everytime the same person text me they come up as separate and new text and doesn't have my response included like the treo did. I've had my phone about 2 weeks and I did all the updates such DST and the latest Sprint/Motorola Upgrade. I'm going to do the registry hack to stop the confirmation but I would like to know is there a way to have my text consolidated like there were when I had the Treo 650 and keep track of my responses as well as the person I am texting. Is there a setting somewhere or fix for this. Hopefully I explained this right.

i guess what you are looking for is a SMS threader.. as far as i know and/or read here there isn't one out there (yet) that really works on the Q. i myself would like to have one for the exact same purpose... sometimes you get a late reply to a SMS/text message and you're thinking what in the world did i "say" to get that reply :}

LOL, I do plan on running the hack that will get rid of that text confirmation. Thanks for the quick reply so far that is the only thing I can say I don't like about the Q.

You know, this is a difficult problem for us. At my business loan company each one of our reps is assigned to 20-50 clients at any given time. When you depend on your phone for communications with 50 different borrowers (not all in the same time zones), things like threading are very important. I noticed that this thread is over a year old, but maybe someone knows something by now?

Are you truly looking for help or are you just here to plug your company? If you do a search for threaded text you will come up with a software called Extreme Text that enables you to have threaded text on your original Q or if you have a Q9c do the WM 6.1 upgrade which gives you threaded text as well.

PS. please take the time to read through the forum rules as well. Plugging your business is a no-no here as it is in most forums.

I just wanted to know if you have the Q or Q9C?
