Sprint Picture Mail on Q - Motorola Q Forum

On the Sprint Version of the Q you can only send pictures through email.. On the the Verizon version you can send through Text otherwise know as PictureMail for sprint phones.. I called customer service and they said it can only be done using email... Is there a way to send pics via text and not email on the Sprint Version of the Q?

thats it for now... dont get me started on Sprint's excuses as to why it doesnt work... also someone mentioned to keep this link handy and to check back for updated on the hack but I went to the site and all it is a generic portal... is suppose to be the same hack they had for the Treo 700...

im new to this site and your informention helped me out alot on my motorola q,, im gonna send a real ugly complaint to sprint, because i use my picture and video account, and this is my first smart phone,,i just dink it sucks!! they need to hop on a new software update NOW!!! my voice will be heard

I can't think of any logical reason why Sprint disabled it on their phones, no reason to blame it on the Q anyway... Maybe it's a bandwidth issue for them, and they're trying to save, I never used MMS before, I believe Nextel (A part of Sprint) allows it on the BlackBerrys, does Sprint allow it on the RAZR etc, or not-at-all?

Boo Hoo. I never used picture mail/MMS on my verizon Q anyway. My little sister does, it might be an issue for her but for a $50/month savings I think I'll live.

Yes it does, I actually got a Razr for like 5 days (biggest crap ever) before I switched it for the Q... the Razr supports both the mms and sprint tv. well, according to sprint is Windows Mobile that does not support the mms. which doesnt sound right to me, but then again it might be windows mobile ON SPRINT phones that do not support it.. their Treo with Windows Mobile does not support the feature either. there was a hack/app for it to enable it, however that does not work for the Q.

yes it is a windows mobile issue on sprint...none of the past windows mobile phones have ever supported it (ppc 6600, 6700, i600, 700wx, etc...) for some reason we've never supported it and finding an answer as to why is almost impossible. There are only 2 things that frustrate me about my Q...and thats the lack of picture mail as well as the unable to place call error
