Sprint Picture Mail on Q

Yes but its not WM's fault, its sprints implementation of the phone vs their service. If it was WM5's fault it wouldnt work on ANY q or ANY WM5 phone.

That much I do agree with.

The ironic thing I've seen now is that the trick to send the email to <phonenumber>@pm.sprint.com is not working on two different Qs I've tried. I can send to it from my PC and I can send to it from my Treo, but not from a Q. Anyone else ran into this issue? To note, I am not using Sprint's smtp or pop server when attempting this, but I wouldn't expect that to be an issue if I can send from a random email on a PC.

So I sat around this morning in total frustrstion and played with my sprint picture mail account online and my Q. I set up my sprint picture mail account to show my name when sending sprint picture mail. Then I went to my outlook account on my Q and emailed a picture to myself (using my phone number) xxxxxxxxxx@pm.sprint.com . I received the text/picture message as usual. Then I opened the message and forwarded it to my cell phone number and recieved the picture mail just like I would from anyone else. I also forwarded it to my husband's phone and he got the picture. This is time consuming (3 minutes) but it eliminates the unknown sender or caller because my name as I have set up shows on the text/picture message.

So does anyone know of a way to set up the pm.sprint.com email address on your Q9? I have my pcs mail set up, but I'm wondering if you can set up the picture mail address and send straight from that? anyone know? otherwise, TexasQ; my thoughts exactly...

there is a program out there... smms that you can set up and it will emulate mms messaging just like on non smartphones (cant send video though)... personally i have never like sprints pm service as it opens in your browser on your phone as oposed to just being in the mms you receive granted it only does that when sending to a sprint subscriber

there is a program out there called sMMS. it lets you send pictures normally. you do have to pay the $5 for the picturemail charges but its worth it
