That's the spirit. If you fall down or just left your Q in your pants pocket while it went through both washer and dryer, then the insurance portion will cover you no hassle. That is what you are paying for. BTW, when I lost my company phone (first lost mobile after 15 years of constant carry) they DID require a police report stating just that, actually they required the police report number, not an actual copy of the report.

Just don't be stupid and say it was stolen because they'll want it to be reported. You lost it. Oops you left it behind at McDonalds or something stupid like that.
[Rant]The only thing that bugs me is when an otherwise decent human being (see post on page 1 of this thread) casually says Hey Let's Commit a Crime! Now, if pointing this Fact makes anyone uncomfortable, maybe either the 'crime-advice' post or my post should be deleted.

Sorry if I went OT, but I'm just tired of seeing people 'Do the wrong thing' when they have the power to choose and their education and ethics should kick-in. [/RANT] Wipes spittle off face.

Nobody seems to be deleting anything over you little ethics rant. Why would someone be shamed into retracting what they said just because some stranger posting on an internet forum finds it unethical advise. lol

It ever occur to you they are using their education and ethics to their advantage? Theirs just aren't the same ones you share.

btw the only reason I even commented about the morality police is because of you rightious indignant tone over what he said, "JESUS HOLY CHRIST!!!", "GOOD GOD!". lmao

Just a little dramatic aren't we? lol

Depends. 99% of the time, yes. In store replacements, if u can get one, are new. I've used asurion twice, and one time i got a NIB and one time it was refurb. Always assume your rep will be refurb, because thats the way it is designed to be.

For me, the 7.00 is worth it. Why? Because, immediately after having put it on my account, my q fell out of its case, and took a 2 floor bounce down cement stairs. it worked, but at least i knew if it didnt i was safe!

He told me that; "If it is a mfr. defect then Sprint will repair or replace the device at no cost to you. If you dont have the insurance then you'll end up paying full price for the replacement." I guess it depends on your lifestyle too, in my spare time I'm a volunteer firefighter and usually always have my phone in my pocket at scenes, there are those times where you get drenched and everything in your pockets do too. So I guess if you are pretty careful with your phone you would'nt need it. The only thing that was not clearified to me was if a replacement, will be a refurbished unit or not.
They will also fix your phone free of charge if you have the insurance usually. I have the insurance and have gotten 3 new/refurb phones and never paid a deductible

Ok. First I'd like to say that you are the best for being a firefighter, VOLUNTEER at that. Always good to see someone doing something great for his/her community. Now, about the insurance, I think it's worth it and pay mine regularly as well. Why NOT be covered just in case? Now as for YOUR phone in particular, there are cases built for heavy duty protection. Try Otterbox, I know I've been thinking about getting one myself but in your field you'd need it...or at least it'd be good to have.
