I'm a bit of a ninny in this regard, but I fail to see the difference between BT DUN & PDANet DUN; I'm comforted by the comment that folks using DUN represent a small fraction of the Sprint Power user base.

There have been many posts over on Qusers on this over the last 6 months, including comments from a Sprint executive. I will paraphase what I've read.
Sprint does have a separate plan for DUN (more expensive) so PDANet is technically not allowed. However, it probally won't be a problem unless you really left it going all the time and downloaded many Gigs of data.
Verizon has a 5 Gig limit in thier non-tethered "unlimited" plan but although Sprint does not have a limit it's terms of service (TOS) disallows misuse and very high (many gigs) data use could flag an account.
To date I have not heard of anyone being flagged and although I only use PDANet a a travel tool, I have read that some use it a their home connection.
To recap even the Sprint executive didn't think it's use would show up as a flag.
I have not found any way to get actual data useage on Sprint but would be interested from in the answer out of curiosity.
