| Signing up for Sprint SERO Right now I am getting through the site with the email savings@sprintemi.com
I can choose the $30 plan with 500 minutes, unlimited text messaging as an option for 0.00 even though it says signup by 2-18-08
I can also get to the part to choose a phone and such all the way to right before entering personal info
So before i checkout for sure, I was wondering if anyone knows about any "promo codes" that work at checkout
And also the "mail in rebates" do they come in like a $100 mail in and such for a Moto Q
Also with the unlimited text messaging, since I cant see anywhere else, is it for messaging to all carriers or just Sprint?
Also can someone explain more about the "data" is sprint TV included, using Pocket IE, Opera Mini, builtin Pop/IMAP email on Q, Google MAps etc...
I heard the picture messaging will not work, and since right now I am switching from Verizon
I know they have an online ESN/HEX changer so you can easily change phones and such, so if I used the Q from verizon (orignally ampd) it could be used without much problems??
Sorry for all this questions, since I am trying to not have any problems with this |

Sorry for all this questions, since I am trying to not have any problems with this | I'm confused! Are you purchasing a new Q or trying to use the Q you had on Verizon. The rebate is for a new phone. And you will not be able to use your Verizon Q on a Sprint account. You can take your Verizon number with you but not the phone.
Unlimited text messages is for all and any carriers.

For the best advice on SERO, you should check out the SERO thread over at slickdeals.net (click on Forums then Deal Talk, and the SERO thread should be on the first couple of pages). It really is the best resource for all things SERO.
I used URANG ($25 credit on first two bills) myself at check out, but that was back in November, and I don't know if that code is still valid. The slickdeals thread would have the most recent codes.
The rebates will vary. The one offered when I bought my Q9c was $100 (though, I actually got more than that). Like THR said, the rebates are for new phones only).
As for unlimited data, any internet usage, or email usage, or programs that use data (like Google Maps and Windows Live Search, or weather programs, etc.) are included. Only 4 basic channels on Sprint TV are included.
Picture mail is not supported on any of the Q's with Sprint.
And finally, I don't think you would be able to use your old Verizon Q on Sprint. |

Yeah I have a feeling it wont work, (I have a Moto Q originally Ampd Mobile) thought that I could just get it and do like a ESN swap over
Thanks for clearing the stuff up about the plan, especially the texting and data.
What channels are included?
I remember hearing the picture messaging does not work on any of the Qs, and I was considering the HTC Mogul 6800
also if I get a blackberry, will I be forced to get an additional blackberry plan? |

As for the BB plan, it would be an additional charge on top of SERO, though you should see if anyone has gotten around that on the slickdeals thread. |

I was going to get one for free no rebates and such from them, then purchase a Sprint phone from EBay,
since they have the ESN swap thing, and it is also online now?
Noy how that is going to work, I guess if my Q (ampd mobile) on verizon doesnt work, I can always buy a sprint Q of Ebay |

Getting a Q like that from Sprint might be cheaper than buying a used or new Q off of eBay. Have you checked the current prices on the SERO website? |

Getting a Q like that from Sprint might be cheaper than buying a used or new Q off of eBay. Have you checked the current prices on the SERO website? | I was looking through the Q is
Regular price $379.99 Instant savings -$200.00 Web special -$30.00 Mail-in Rebate -$100.00 Online price $49.99
and the Q9 is
Regular price $449.99 Instant savings -$250.00 Mail-in Rebate -$100.00 New price $99.99
I was considering ordering it from like letstalk.com since those are "free" there, but read on the other forums hat if you switch your plan you can get charged full value for the phone which is like $449.
I am considering the Mogul by HTC right now, but I read that there was some lag, between slide open/close the keypad, and was wondering how much of a delay there is. The retailer in my area, only use dummy phones so that doesnt help much |

| Technically the cost of the phones upfront would be $149.99 and 199.99 respectively. You get your rebate back after being active for 30 days within 10-14 weeks.
Haven't priced Q's on ebay lately but can't imagine your pay much less than those prices after shipping and then there is the hassle of getting it activated.
Can't help you on the Touch, it never interested me enough to do any research on it. |
