Question Should I switch to sprint SERO?

I did the Math.

Two options in a 12 month time span (I have 12 months till vzw NE2/contract end date):

1. Do nothing (stay with vzw and the Q)

$71/month x 12 months = $852

2. Get a Mogul from sprint with the SERO plan

$175 VZW Early Termination Fee
$249 For Mogul (399 - 100 new cust discount, - 150 in rebates)
$480 Monthly fee of $40 x 12 months (est. based on 30/m + taxes+fees)

= $904

So for about a net loss of $50 I can get the Mogul from sprint.

Should I go for this, or is there something I am missing or not thinking of? Either way I'll still hang out on this forum, so don't let that be a factor haha.

If you want the Mogul, jump.

If you're looking toward SERO, I'm not sure they do one-year contracts. The two-year price for the Mogul is $299 after all rebates.

jus tto make things tougher.. my bill is about $35 on SERO after taxes/fees.. so your total would be 175+ 250+ (12*35=420) = $845.

so if you want a new phone then do it.. jsut check coverage in real life first

OK, so is data included definately? Also, did you actually have to know anyone, or did you just use an email address you found online?

Thanks

And it isn't just that I want a new phone, if I can break even in the first year and then from then on pay 35 per month instead of 71, then it is definately worth it, new phone or not.

Data and messaging is included. You can use an email like jim@boostmobile.com (I made that up but it works). The email just gets you into the site. I oredered via phone and they didn't even ask for a referral.

Yeah I called the number from the SERO page... they definately asked me for a sprint employee's email address. I tried making something up, but they asked if I knew any other email address. So..... what should I do?

stop by a store, bs with a rep, get his card, call in with his email. employees arent informed if anyone signs up under them. calling in seems to be the best way to sign up

heres a link that should work for you.sprint sero is for everyone as long as you buy a new phone and sign up for a 2 year service agreement. just keep in mind that unlimited text is only till november 3rd 2007 .after that you have to pay 5 for 300 messages. but you get unlimited data and 1250 minutes for 50 bucks which is a good deal IMO
