Sending pics via Text Message??

I bought the 15$ a month unlimited internet, SMS etc but for some reason I can not seem to forward pictures through text messaging. Is there a separate service I have to pay for this funcitonality? I can get pictures from other phones (both sprint and non Sprint) but can't send them via text. Any help here is appreciated. Thanks.

See the huge debate in this thread. Sprint doesn't do pics through MMS, sorry man.

What is Sprint Picture Mail then? Anytime I receive a txt with a pic attached I have to go to Sprint PictureMail URL. What I am reading is that the Q can only email pics and does not support MMS but other phones offered by SPRINT that cost 1/3 the price support MMS if you buy the picture mail service?

Verizon guys claim they can text pics with the Q, so it looks like a provider issue, but I have never tried texting a picture, i just have no need. This is a deal breaker for some people man, sorry to be the one to tell you.

Verizon doesn't allow pic's using txt message you have to select MMS. I tried many times to send a pic using txt, but that option was grayed out so it worked using MMS.

yea, that is what MMS was made for oppose to text messaging, the word kinda gives it away: text messaging

Yeah I didn't know that, I assumed that is was like my old phone.

I think it is per provider and Sprint doesn't offer MMS with the Q. I would have totally re-evaluated the puchase or at least changed providers since my contract was up.

I am not impressed with the quality of pictures the Q takes anyways even at the best resolution. They still wind up being 14k JPGs when I email them from the phone which suck...

yes we established a while ago that it works for 1 provider so far: Verizon.

It works for me, but I am up in "where's your toook-EH" land and I have Bell as a provider.
