I have Sprint's SERO 500 plan, which includes unlimited data. I go to college in NY, where I don't worry at all about Sprint coverage, but I live in Maine, where Sprint has extremely limited coverage. Testing it there, I roamed most of the time on Verizon, which is fine since there are no roaming charges with SERO, but am safe from data roaming? Also, Verizon teams with US Cellular to offer a larger, "extended network." If Verizon data roaming is free, will I be charged for this? And if there are charges, is there a way to turn data access off from the phone, so I won't get dinged?
yup... the sero plan comes with free roaming on verizon... of which includes data and voice... and something interesting is that when roaming on verizon they will allways charge you airtime minutes... meaning if ur raoming and making a voice call, they will charge you for airtime, even on weekends and evenings, but no raoming fee... but data is whenever free so it aint matter...

While we're on the topic of data roaming...Whenever I roam it has the 1x/mountain picture. Does this mean I'm roaming on whoever's 1x network and not EVDO? Or is it that there is only one icon to signal roaming and it has a 1x symbol on it?
