Recall on Motorola Q?!!! - Motorola Q Forum

Has anyone heard of the Motorola q sprint recall? I heard it over on qusers that there is a recall on Motorola q's on sprint starting with ESN 0. I have not heard anymore, but i am going to get a straight answer tomorrow at the sprint store close to my house.

Shoot if this is true.. then it's all bad.. that would be ME... put up the link from Qusers.com cause I did a quick search on there and couldn't find anything

Has anybody heard that Q's starting with ESN number 0 were recalled? Read it over at ppcgeeks from a sprint rep. http://www.ppcgeeks.com/what-can-the...ant-t5751.html 7th post down.

yes ...if your esn hex number starts with '0' then it's being recalled....you wont be able to use data services...not the dec number

I just called Motorola. There is NO RECALL on ANY of the Motorola Q's. I called two different phone numbers - Motorola and Motorola Q Support - they both said the same thing. There is NO RECALL on ANY Motorola Q.

ok...here's the issue..the phones ARE bein recalled by sprint...all motorola pones with esn hex numbers starting with '0' will NOT PROVISION ON SPRINTS DATA NETWORK. Motorola is not recalling them. as far as they are concerned there is nothing wrong with them...and there isnt. until sprints data service finds a way to recognize hex numbers starting in '0' it aint gonna work. its a known issue that hasnt been fixed at this point. until it is sprint is replacing the devices and issuing new ones....sheeeesh

Where did you get this information? Is there a official bulletin out?

My Q ESN begins with 0. I've had it for 2 months and don't know of any issues with it (other then the "normal" ones)

I don't think thats what Geoff101 is saying. I believe he means if your on line and a phone call comes in it goes straight to voicemail instead of breaking in.

Yes I can get to the web EVDO.

I also just did a test where I went on line (browser) and called my phone from a land line. The call did come through although it did take quiet a few rings before it did.
