Ok guy, this is what you do. Say the phone resets. If they fix it. Go back 2 days later and say it still resets. They will order you a replacement. If you have TEP its free so it wouldnt hurt to try it out. When I said theres a 50 dollar fee, I meant if you call the insurance and make a claim. You wont be charged that in the store.

*I wouldnt recommend breaking the screen if your phone is your lifeline bc it might be a few days before a new one can be shipped for you.

Or you could just backup your info and break the screen. There are no parts for the Q9c. You'll get a replacement.
Yeah, I'll do that (NOT)! You will be charged the $50.00 deductible if you put in a claim on insurance (TEP). If you go into a store with a broken/cracked screen, it obviously is not a manufacturing defect, so it will not be covered. Insurance fraud does not pay...

actually TEP has two parts to it...

The first is the Service and Repair Program.

That covers any damage to the phone that is not liquid damage or damage to the circuit board. (Including a cracked screen)

The second is Actual insurance by Asurion.

If the phone is reported damaged beyond repair by the store technician, is liquid damaged, has board level damage, or is lost/stolen. The insurance will replace for a $50 deductable.

Ps. It would be insurance fraud to call and say you lost your phone to get a replacement when you didnt actually loose your phone. Breaking the screen is not insurance fraud because it has nothing to do with the insurance. Getting your phone serviced in the repair center has nothing to do with insurance. Its and equipment service and repair program.

Also: Dont mistake your Service and Repair Program for a Warranty. Your 1 year warranty is through Motorola. Moto will replace your phone if it has a manufacturing defect.

I realize that this is a Sprint phone. I didn't realize Sprint would replace/repair cracked screen. Verizon covers manufacturers defects for 1st year. Screen cracks would not be covered. This would be covered by Assurion Insurance, which covers water damage/loss/theft/ physical damage not due to manufacturer defect..m

Thats the best part about sprints service centers. You could throw you phone at a stupid boyfriend and as long as the circuit board is in tact, and there is no liquid damage, You can get it fixed or replaced. If you have a flip phone, you could snap it in half (I dont recommend you do this on purpose). As long as the main board isnt damaged, you're good. As long as your have TEP on your account, Its Free!!!

That's right! My friend has had about six Palm Treos. He started out with the Treo 650 in which someone just gave him. He went and put insurance on it. After getting them replace he obviously got upgraded and now he has a Treo 755p lol With that being said they replace my phone once I informed them that I had been rebooting on its own.

That's good to know.
I didn't hear from them today.

You'd figure there would be refurbs for replacement well after the products EOL.
