actually TEP has two parts to it...
The first is the Service and Repair Program.
That covers any damage to the phone that is not liquid damage or damage to the circuit board. (Including a cracked screen)
The second is Actual insurance by Asurion.
If the phone is reported damaged beyond repair by the store technician, is liquid damaged, has board level damage, or is lost/stolen. The insurance will replace for a $50 deductable.
Ps. It would be insurance fraud to call and say you lost your phone to get a replacement when you didnt actually loose your phone. Breaking the screen is not insurance fraud because it has nothing to do with the insurance. Getting your phone serviced in the repair center has nothing to do with insurance. Its and equipment service and repair program.
Also: Dont mistake your Service and Repair Program for a Warranty. Your 1 year warranty is through Motorola. Moto will replace your phone if it has a manufacturing defect.
