That's true, which is why I said you should only change it if a site won't let you in (or if you don't want the mobile site, I suppose). The implication is that you should change the User Agent back to the default when you're done at the site that requires it.
Another thing to do if you want to keep the User Agent set to the desktop browser mode but still want some of the mobile sites you use is to bookmark the mobile sites instead of the full sites.
For example, for EverythingQ, bookmark
http://www.everythingq.com/index.php...late=xe_mobile (it might not look quite right in a desktop browser, but you'll see the difference). Why they couldn't just use something like mobile.everythingq.com is beyond me.
