The title of the threads is extremely important for a variety of reasons:
- It helps members who are searching for a particular topic.
- Those members might not be members of EQ just yet and will be using search engines like Google. Having related thread titles to topic will increase the readership and ultimately the knowledge base here at EQ.
- Members who frequent the forums daily read the titles before entering a thread. A well described title allows them to easily decide if they want to enter a discussion.
That in mind, the moderators attempted to help with your issue and just offered up some helpful advice as to ways to improve readership and responses to your thread. "No disrespect" means just that.
I'd ask that you respect the rules and more importantly the two gentlemen who moderate this forum. Between them, they have thousands of posts and have helped countless Q users. If a moderator or administrator makes a suggestion, than the correct response is not to tell them "please dont post to me unless you can stay on topic". Subject titles are an unwritten rule (although written at our sister forum at Everything iPhone). That's on topic no matter where it's mentioned.
All that in mind, let's move on from this and I think you'll find this site to be a friendly and knowledgeable place.
