Need Help Powervision data rates

Hello,

What type of speed are most people acheiving using the Q on Sprint's PowerVision?

Looking at www.dslreports.com/mspeed I am consistently seeing from 200-300 kbit/sec. However, a friend standing two feet away with a Samsung a920 and PowerVision is getting results around 2-3 mbits per second!

I can understand some variance, but almost 10x the data rate seems ridiculous. I've checked with Sprint CSRs & tech support and they have varified that I have PowerVision on my plan. I have the little "Ev" indicator at the top of the screen.

Any suggestions? Thanks,
--Kevin

Your speed will vary based upon location. I typically get 400-600kbps. My wife sitting right next to me with her LG Fusic will get 1-2MB. I'm pretty sure the difference is in the browser rendering the page though, not the actual data speeds. What browser is your friend with the a920 using? I've had these results with Opera mini on the Fusic.

Did you try standing closer to your friend? ;)

...

I get 752 kbit/sec at home in PIE, the test won't work in Opera for me.

Never tested speed but seems just as fast or faster than vzw Q.
