I wouldn't call it a piece of poo, like I said my Q1 worked perfectly through 4 MOL updates. Every type of phone is bound to have some bad units out there.

I've had a similar issue with my phone, though it wasn't turning off totally I just would have no wireless signal. I could set it next to my wife's Q and her's would have full signal strength.

Sadly though I'm now leaving the Q family & upgrading to a Mogul. My wife is upset I'm getting a new phone, but for $100 I can't complain about upgrading to the Mogul.

I tried everything I could think to get the phone to work, and Sprint didn't have any solutions either...so a new phone was the only option for me and I couldn't bring myself to get another Q in case the same issue arose.

So I just got done playing the phone game with BOTH Sprint and Motorola... Told Sprint I was tired of the games with both Spring and Motorola with my phone so Sprint offered me a new phone at the "Internet Price" of anywhere 149.99-199.99+ depending on the phone. That was the "best they could do for me". So I called Motorola back and told them what is going on with my phone. They want me to send it in or drive an hour or more out of my way to have them look at my phone. I asked if I could just do a swap out of phones since I need my phone. They said I would have to call my service provider for that kind of service since Motorola only will repair the phone or swap it when the phone is unrepairbale. This is pissing me off. I may call Sprint and speak to a supervisor next, after dinner. . This crap is why I want to switch to AT&T. Everyone i know who has problems with their phone gets a new one, no questions asked.

Alot of times with Sprint, your results will vary with the person you talk to. Another call or two to Retentions may get you what you want. You just have to be persistent and firm, but polite.

i always yes sir no maam it to death. When I first start explaining it I let them know im tired of the run around and tired of my phone not working and I am willing to leave their company. Maybe because my phone number isnt the master on the account they are like well screw this prick. There are 4 numbers on the account tho.
