Strange, I updated mine last night and I am running XP with SP2.

Did you download the updating software from motorola (software that looks for updates for your cuurent software version)?

The website is www.motorola.com -> update my software link

Yup. Even says new software is available for your device nonsense and then proceeds to update. Progress meter remains at 0% until it fails.

I have XP SP2 and the update worked fine, I have noticed that my battery life has improved also.

Well i've noticed the same stuff most have mentioned, like the time zone update, and a bit better battery life. Also, i have noticed now when roaming, that the raoming icon says EVDO with the roaming symbol. Anyone else notice this?

Have you downloaded and installed Windows Mobile Device Center?

Thanks for all the nfo guys - I don't have the time to inventory my Q and get ready to reset/reinstall all my apps & hax - so I'll just follow y'all on this thread to see if/when it's worth it. (If it ain't broke...)

Spanks!

Sorry Lythium, you have exhausted my expertise on the subject (notice it wasn't very much)!

Maybe one of the moderators can help you or as the deployment of the update increases the answer may reveal itself through this website.

SORRY!

At least its not only me. There are others having the same problem.

I knew there would be problems with it from the start. When I downloaded the motorola updater and ran the install, it uninstalled my ethernet driver. Hell if I can figure that one out. I uninstalled the motorola junk and reinstalled several times and it did the same thing everytime. heh.
