Default update not working

I have tried to update 5x now using Windows Vista 32-bit OS. The updater detects the phone, but when you go to update it just sits there at 0% and then eventually fails. I have tried reinstalling the updater, rebooting my machine, and reconnecting, and rebooting my Q. What gives? This sucks.

Run the program on your computer with your Q connected and all will revealed.

well one of the other members said that it fixes the DDTM hack so you wont have to do it anymore...that would save you some time and work

I'm getting the same error-- I've been trying to update ever since last night. My Q mounts in the software (the ESN number shows up), but the other fields do not auto-populate (It shows N/A for both the Model #, Operator).

Just updated mine...worked fine.

It saved everything except:

-Third party software (wasn't expecting it to)
-registry hacks (now I gotta find them again)
-Phone settings
I also had to re-setup active sync, it did not recognize my computer (the only computer I sync with) and thought it was a new CPU I was syncing with! Weird!

All in all seems good at least the DDTM setting stays off now.

I've got exactly the same problem with win xp sp2.

Thanks for the info. Comparing my Sprint Q to my Verizon Q with MOL3 -- the Sprint Q seems to already have a better battery life, much better, in fact. And that alone makes me cautious to upgrade to MOL3 on the Sprint Q. The voice/data ability, however, would be nice. My Verizon Q crashed and locked up so often; it was downright frustrating. Glad to hear no issues so far with this update for Sprint, but I am still going to wait a few weeks.
