| Did my update yesterday. Went very smoothly, and all my contacts (and their settings) were restored. I haven't noticed any difference really. My battery life appears to be a little worse, but I can't really back that up with anything but "I was down to one bar before I went to bed after not using the phone much all day".
One thing I have noticed -- my homepage lists me as having 1 unread email. When I go to my email screen, there are no new messages. I've restarted, taken the battery out, nothing seems to clear this phantom message. It's more a nuisance than anything, and probably has to do with how my accounts got wiped during the upgrade. The new mail icon doesn't show at the top, so that's good. |

| I tried multiple times to update mine (Sprint) via WinXP and it continually tells me that I have the latest version. I looked in Start -> Settings -> Phone Information and it says I have Q2-BP_C_06.26.00R and MP_BSP_C_02.07.61-49P_HW_P2.1. The first post of this thread says Q2-BP_C_06.2A.00R and MP_BSP_C_02.07.61-67P_HW_P2.1 are newer, yet it will not update. I even tried booting to flash mode and running the update...it still says I have the latest version.
Anyone else experience this?

| Finally gave up trying to update my boss' Q -- even the flash boot fix didn't work. Sprint didn't know what the answers were, and conferenced in someone from Motorola. After about 30 minutes, we eventually decided to return the phone to Motorola so they could check it out. Sprint overnighted us a new phone and the MOL3 update went in without a hitch on the new phone. |

| MOL3 Update After getting an error message from Motorola that the server was unavailable for weeks, I finally y installed the MOL3 Update. I had no problems installing the software, easy to fillow step by step instructions. All of my Contact, Task, and Calenders are back in place, It even reloaded my Custom Home Page. Now I only have to add my caller id, pics, 3rd party apps, hacks and ringtones back. |

| So I'm updating a 3rd Q, and for the past 4 days, it says the Motorola server is unavailable. WTF? Is there any way to just download the update directly to my PC and install it to the phone instead of relying on the stupid server that is never available?
UPDATE: After being transferred around for 30 minutes (and disconnected twice while in a queue), Motorola told me their update server is in fact online, and that the only other solution (besides uninstalling and reinstalling the update software, which I've done), is to send in the phone for repair. I have tried to update 2 more Qs other than the original one in the last 10 minutes, and they all say the same thing, "Server is being updated, try again later, ha-ha!"

| Your PC has to be able to communicate to the Motorola server. You might need to check your firewall or virus protection settings. |

| Thanks, but I've actually done it from this laptop at work before. Even so, I did disable my client firewall, no go. Tried it from home, nothing there either. We just got another Q today to replace another broken one so I will try it again. |

| I tried to install the update on my Q today, and it told me that I already had the lastest software installed. That is not correct, because I checked my software to what they have and mine is definately older. But I guess it can't be that important to update right now, otherwise it would let me. |

| I did my update a few days ago(way behind on this one) and for some reason i can't get the hack that disables sent text notification to work anymore. I know it's right but i can't get it to work.
Anyone else have this issue? |
