Somewhere in the thread for Q hacks, there is an "inbox extender" which gives you more options in the e-mail accounts. Its worth downloading the cab file and installing to see if it restores the send/receive option.

So.....after reading through numerous posts and getting ready to do this update on my Sprint Q next week, does anyone has a concise list of smart things to do before performing the update? Here's what I have so far:

1) Back up contacts - I've seen people say "take it to Sprint," others have said I can do it on my own. Some say synch it with Outlook. What's the simplest way to do this?

2) E-mail accounts - I know I'll have to setup them up again, but I don't want to have to deal with the "gmail1" "bellsouth1" problem. So do I delete the accounts before the update? Or download the application that finds the previous account afterwards?

3) Make sure I'm connected to the internet when performing the update and make sure the "enable enhanced network functionality" box is checked under the USB to PC connection settings.

4) Cross my fingers, leave the room, take the phone back to Sprint, get "hosed" and then notice much improved battery life...

What else am I missing?

Thanks for the suggestion. I like this utility. Unfortunately I'm still missing Send/Receive. I can't remember customizing this earlier....

your missing the send/receive button from the mail menus?!?

maybe it is somehow related to the other email issue with the ghost email accounts? i don't use the outlook email on the Q so i'm not sure if it will work but what if in your Sync settings on the computer you remove the sync for outlook email, perform a sync, then add the sync again for outlook email, and perform another sync???

Can anyone confirm that the DDTM fix only works in EVDO areas. That has been my observation.

Hi All... I'm stumped. I have totally lost my internet connection after updating software. When I choose the "connections" menu in IE, "Internet" doesn't even come up anymore. Any thoughts?

I had to "update my vision profile" to get my connection going again

To update go to the last page in your settings folder, there should be a line " A PCS Vision"
select that and an options list will pop up
select "C Update Vision Profile"
