Okay, looking at updating my phone tomorrow, but afraid of losing my contacts. What program should I use to back that stuff up? I never used Outlook to sync with my phone either.

Default MOL 3 update

I have also noticed an increase in battery life as well. I have also foundthat when I have a message, the contacts key turns into a message key (think that is new). I had no problems upgrading except for the mail account glitch.

I had the same problem before and it worked like a charm for me.

Is there any other solution? I cannot get this program to run on Vista.

I've just run into the same thing? Had to create a new account called gmail1.
The problem is, there seems to be a message in the old "gmail" account and I can't get to it to erase it so my message display always says I have 1 new message.
I tried to search for more info but have come up empty handed. Anyone now how or where the accounts are structured on the device? I was hoping to go in and delete it through the file manager?

Thanks,
JP

Default MOL3 update

I've had my phone about a month and I just tried to go through the update but it tells me that "Your mobile device already has the latest available software. Please check back for new releases." I thought that this was something that everyone with Sprint had to do.

just an observation:

since doing the update:
1) battery life is MARKEDLY improved...without a doubt...
2)DDTM is now defaulting to 'off'
****I have one of the phones that was locking up went it went to sleep...after the update, it started doing it again. I went back into the registry and turned lowpowermode to '0' again, and it works great....have been texting all day today (7hours) and have only lost one bar. Now, granted I have the 1640 battery, but with the usage ive given it today wouold be down to 'at most' one bar by now....****

I think I'm going to delete my email and email accounts before I do the upgrade in hopes of avoiding this problem.

Default Post MOL3 Problem

I completed MOL3, selected to have my settings backed up, but my Q was wiped. Since the update I no longer have the option to manually Send/Receive within Outlook. It's greyed out. I've hunted for a setting but I can't find it. Does anyone have ideas on the solution to this problem? Thanks for your help.

Will any threaded SMS programs work with MOL3?
