I restored it with all the apps I used to have and actually a few more installed on device and not my SD card since for some reason when I got the phone new it had 25MB on device storage used and after the update it was only using 9 so i had like 45megs of on device storage for apps I have everything installed on device now and still have more memory than I used to with everything installed on the card.

I really like this update it did ALOT for the phone...biggest plus is the lack of the cannot place call error...i love it!

My calendar and contacts synced over fine after the update and from what I understand it still has your old e-mail settings stored but you have to go into active sync and enable the account to be shown on the phone again.

Has anyone figured out how to sync with their PC to get contacts and calendar after doing this update? It syncs and the contacts and calendar are checked on the phone to sync, but they don't show up on active sync on the PC and they don't sync. Tried deleting the device on the PC then re-synced but same problem.

This makes the phone useless to me. Wish I had not done the update, it doesn't seem to fix anything and certainly broke something key to my phone, like syncing my contacts.

OK I figured it out. I had to delete the phone from Active sync while unhooked, then uncheck the contact, calendar and tasks from the phone so they didn't sync. Then plug in the phone and it asked me to set up a new sync partnership and I checked contact, calendar and tasks and it synced and all is fine now.

The phone is definitely a little faster with the upgrade and only one "cannot make call" so far as opposed to two a day normally. We'll see that that is really any better or not.

Just to let you know that I got my phone 3/15...after the update was established. So the reason I am posting on this is because my Q already had the update on it. COOL!

I just got my phone and LOVE it. I got it 3/15 Thursday. Well I was researching the phone before I got it and found out theres this update for it...Well it seems that Sprint already updated the phone. So right outta the box it was already updates..YESS!

from past reply's it seems that the answer is, Yes. Someone also replied to this question stating that if your phone gets "messed up" in the process of them updating it...it is their fault. But IMO...if you do get it done at a Sprint Retailer, I would get a confirmation of them stating that it is their fault if they mess it up. Its a big piece of hardware, wouldnt want anything to happen to it

When I ran it the program said my Q was already up to date but I had to install the DST update myself. Also my phone was made before the update.

Befor I did the upgrade I had dial pad. Now with the upgrade it had it.. but its some ugly yellow..and once the call is dialed it disappears. Is there a fix for this?
