Yea, I cant get MSU to locate my phone either. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling etc. Nothing seems to work. someone help?

After almost two days of having this update I can say Im pretty happy finally. I have 14 Sprint Q's on my plan and we have all had the "unable to place call" issue. Well chaning the active sync schedule to every 15 minutes helped a little but I still had to power off and on several times a day. And also the battery charging issue was widespread.
Im happy to report neither of these issues have occured since the update and I even have active sync on "as items arrive"!! That is a HUGE success in my book. And also the battery charging issue seems resolved as well.
Only big complaint is the custom xml home screens I have downloaded no longer work!

So I have tried to get the Updater App to see my Q on two diff. XP machines, but nothing. The only time it saw my device was when the Q was powered off but wouldn't run the update then because the phone was off. I am just confused as to what to do. Any suggestions.

Did you load the software from the CD that came with the Q first? It took me hours to figure out that I had to do that!

I have had such a HUGE difference in connecting to the net. Since the update I have not had to power cycle my phone to connect. The phone just works now as it should. I did have the same problem with email accounts. I have 5!!!! One thing though is while you are in a call, which is when you would need it, how do you bring up the display that shows you the letters associated with each number. I only seem to be able to find it when you are first dialing. If you have to use it after you call someone, to search by name in a company's phone system for example, how do you get the phone to display the letters again?

There are other options there too - but I have a dial pad on all screens.

I also figured out that you should read their instructions carefully. They state to go to
Start>Settings>Connections>USB to PC
and click the checkbox that says allow advanced something...

that made it all work.

Excellent update, seems like everything runs quicker for some reason.

Problem: You don't have a Windows computer and you can't do update.

Solution: Go to local Sprint store, drop it off and have them do it. I am a Sprint Rep with a Mac. My tech did it and I watched, no problems, easy update. Just make sure you back up all info. Hope this helps fellow Mac users.

Same problem here. PLUS, still get the "unable to place call". PLUS, I can no longer sync with my PC to get my outlook contacts and calendar. Had to rename my email accounts to get them to work but that's no big deal.

Has anyone figured out how to sync with their PC to get contacts and calendar after doing this update? It syncs and the contacts and calendar are checked on the phone to sync, but they don't show up on active sync on the PC and they don't sync. Tried deleting the device on the PC then re-synced but same problem.

This makes the phone useless to me. Wish I had not done the update, it doesn't seem to fix anything and certainly broke something key to my phone, like syncing my contacts.
