I am experience a problem:

"Your mobile device already has the latest available software. Please check back for new releases."

But I know it doesn't because I don't have any of the updated features like the Alpha/Numeric Dialing pad.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet to do this? My PC doesn't have internet connection right now. It is running Windows XP Service Pack 2.

Thanks in advance.

So what all are you guys losing when you do the update? Do you have to reinstall your programs and lose contacts? Does this update include the DST update too or do we have to isntall that again too?

I reinstalled the DST update afterward cause I thought it was needed...but then realized I forgot to change my Time Zone. I sync my calendar with my office outlook, so i felt it better to error on the side of showing up on time. :-)

I lost all third party apps, but had saved allthe cab files, my homescreen still isn't exactly as I had it, but that's cause I have too many XML files for my own good. Felt like I needed to put the Speed Hack back in..IE Hack back in...basically, depending on how "custom" your Q is, you have some work ahead of you to put it back. Welcome back to day 1.

Yeah... that's for sure. I'm glad my phone is relatively new and I didn't have much to re-install.

My aftermath (so far):

-E-mails have to be re-setup. (don't keep messages on my q so i don't know if they were wiped out)
-On Demand needs re-setup. Had to re-enter my stock options blah blah
-Games back to stock.
-Custom ringtones in sounds folder gone.
-Contacts remained intact.
-Pictures remained.
-Custom Home screen theme remained.

The only problem is, after I was done I went to check my e-mail, my accounts werent showing up. I proceeded to recreate my accounts so I would have them again. I tried to use the name for the account as I had before but it would not let me because I have that account name used before. Apparently my account are there, but they're not. Anyone know what's up with that? Or how to get them appear again?

Has anyone figured out how to clear the old email accounts that existed
prior to the update? The hotmail fix mentioned in a previous post worked
perfect, but I still can NOT re-create my old POP3 email account because
the name already exists.. Please help!

Thanks,
Mike

Default Ummm, huh?

So, I was able to install the update and everything seemed okay. However, I noticed that whenever I go into a place where there's no coverage (i.e. underground parking garage) the phone shows "No Service" where it used to show Roaming. Checked the network settings, and the phone is set to Automatic. Called *2 for a PRL update (despite it being listed as 60607) just in case, and still the same behavior. So, that's strange.

In addition, now the phone will *not* come off of the "No Service" and find the Sprint network, even after being in an area with good coverage for a good 10-20 minutes. **And** imagine my surprise when, despite the phone displaying No Service, Exchange ActiveSync emails started popping up on the device!? After that, I made test calls to and from the phone and both were successful, despite displaying No Service. To cap off the strangeness, the phone displays signal bars while in these test calls but will immediately revert to No Service once the call is ended.

WTF??

Mike, I just bit the bullet and made accounts with similar, but new names and I get all the pop3 mail to them now. I called Sprint Technical service and as usual with a "new" issue, the guy didn't know what I was talking about.

I saw this on sprintusers - did you save your personal data? If so, "legacy" preferences are probably still there and the Q "thinks" those email accounts are still loaded. You'll need to master reset and start from scratch or set up new accounts w/different names (I believe someone was able to do this).
