Go to Start >Settings> Clock and Alarm > Date and Time > From here you need to set it to your home time zone. The update messed this up for me too.

i did this but its still an hour back (just like before daylight savings time)
shoulddnt the new update have the early daylight savings function built in???

From what I read about I think so, mine is working.

since im running an ibook g4, can someone link were the actualy indivdual firmware updates are located, not the software update app on the moto site

I feel your pain as well. I no longer have any non-Vista computers in my home and my work laptop is Vista Business. If Moto had the common courtsey to not package the update as a Windows installer package then we could just run it in compatibility mode with Admin privileges. If I find a way to run it I will post it here for all Vista Q users. More to the topic, has anyone seen the fix list for this update? Thanks.

I run Vista too but ended up taking my Q into a Sprint store and had a tech do my upgrade. It seems to be the most painless way to go judging by the issues that came up in this thread. I had to leave my phone with them for one hour, but got it back working excellent.

While I was at the Sprint store having them do my software update, I asked them for a list of items it fixes, and I rec'd a print out which shows:

- Daylight Savings Time 2007
- Emails from Goodlink
- Replace Sprint Dial Bar with Alpha-numeric Reference Image
- Option to Clear the Voicemail Icon
- Unable to access "get more help" URL
- No Animation when Bluetooth Link is Active
- Power Cycle Ramdomly
- "No Service" on Power up
- Stuck Dialing
- The Q tries to Place a Call While being used as a Modem

lemme guess...you set it to "central america" instead of "central US"

nope..pacific time...anyways i got the time to work...but since the software update here is the huge issue i am having...

My Q will automatically turn off the phone part of the phone (says phone off when using) and sometimes will not find service once service area is available.

Anyone know fix?

i also am having this issue along with my service issue (see above post)....its such a pain
