Default aol email after update

I have an aol account and after the update it was gone yet on my home screen the email would update and say like '3' emails but i couldnt find them. so i set up a new account and had to make up a new name which is fine but the problem is that the q is still pulling emails from my old account (which doesnt show and I cant delete) and also the new one. so if i got 3 new emails today, my home screen email will say '6' cause its pullin the same 3 emails from both accounts. Does any one know how I can rectify this issue? thnx

Default Installing Sprint MotoQ software update resolves DST problem

Has anyone installed the update? What does it do.

If it fixes some of the issues that I am having with it...I just might keep it.
The software update seems to resolve a problem I was having. The problem apparently is Daylight savings time related. I would look at my phone and discover that the time was wrong. I noticed this after traveling from Seattle to Austin Texas changing timezones. At first I thought it was just operator error but after setting and resetting the times, the motoq software would reset the time to an incorrect setting by itself. After installing the software update this problem is apparently resolved.

First time poster here.....please forgive me if I am repeating what others have asked.

I am about to have a fit. I did the software update yesterday and had the same experiences of rebooting the phone, taking the battery out to get it to re-set unplugging it etc etc but finally got it updated. Groovy. However, now I can't get MSN to work and this is the error I get:

Errors:
The following errors occurred while sending and receiving mail:

Please sign in using the Pocket MSN item on the Home screen.

So I follow the instructions and still get the same error. I even went to options and checked the box "Display Pocket MSN on Home screen".

Someone help me. I am about ready to throw this phone through the window. I am still irritated I can't text pics anymore......ggggrrrrrrrrrrr.

I had all sorts of problems before and just after the update.... what fixed everything was a master reset. Just make sure you back up all your data then when you re-sync after master reset. Everything works good for me.

Default Heard it was going to fix the stuttering on video playback.

Did this fix the video stuttering? It did not on mine. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

System Tools or Repair Need Update?

Hey Everybody,
I searched here and on Sprint's and Motorla's sites regarding this upgrade and i have been unable to determine if i need it or not. I just purchased my sprint q this past weekend on 3/24/07.

Based on what I've read here about post-download performance and other indicators I think I already have it. For example, I have the alpha numeric phonepad key chart at the top of the screen when dialing. But I've only had the phone for a few days anyways and wouldn't have noticed performance issues yet I don't think.

Any thing i should look for to help determine if i need to go through the potential hassle of downloading and installing? When I've had to install updates in the past for other devices manufacturers usualy indicate which versions reguire an update and i see nothing on the sprint or the moto q updates site pages regarding which builds or versions this update applies to.
Thanks!

Default My update experience

I bought a sprint Q at the end of Feburary and did the recent update with the phone. During the update the screen on the Q stalled at "USB Flash mode" (i forgot the original message) and the computer screen said disconnect and restart the computer. I was unable to restart the Q by holding down the red button on the phone so i removed the battery. After i removed the battery i rebooted the phone and reconnected. The update then finished without problems. I have noticed the few updates that people have mentioned but i am still frustrated that i cannot receive calls while using the data service on the phone (AKA on the internet or checking email. I have the sprint power vision data plan. I believe this deals with the DDTM feature and some users have posted that the update is supposed to correct this issue but it did not on my particular phone. The other issue that i have with the phone is that there are many times where if i plug the phone into the AC outlet charger it beeps but the icon doesnt change from battery to the plug icon. I then disconnect and reconnect the AC adapter from the phone and it works. Some people have mentioned doing a master reset to correct charging issues. Let me know your comments, Thanks.

Default Ran well

Thanks Chris,
The update went well, ponce I FOLLOWED the directions and properly responded "no, not at this time" to the new hardware wizard. Took less than 10 minutes without my error - I had to uninstall driver and then relaunch. It is picky about the full battery power! Now, to learn the changes!
