HEY! What' s happened! I got my SprintQ back in April with NFL preloaded and looked at it a few times. It's like someone said, not too user friendly. Today it's a blank screen. Maybe I'll delete the URL and save a few MB! :har-har-har: As far as I'm concerned it's good riddance--look out ESPN Mobile, here I come!

So my Q made a liar out of me. Seems I forgot that broadband is hard to come by @ 4:30PM DST in Austin. The so-called FREE SITE EMBEDDED IN NEW SPRINT PHONES is working--well, it just sits there and rotates. The image on the screen, I mean. It just cycles round and round. I found it at http://nfl07.mspot.com/wap/broadcaster/html/home.php
but it's squirrely and like I said it's not THAT good. The only thing I could find to delete was its URL.

Y'all think back, now...had to re-read my post from last nite to be sure...this FREE STUFF we got from Sprint (this coming from a customer of 15+ years) was nothing but a BOOKMARKED SITE!! Am I right, or am I wrong.

When all else fails...read the instructions!! What a good joke on all of us. Free, free, free...ha, ha, ha!!

Yes, the website preloaded into the Pocket IE favorites is just a website. The actual NFL Mobile is a Sprint-authorized-only app that you have to download from the Sprint website (after logging into your account).

I was at a sports bar this Sunday with my fantasy football league, and one of the guys was running the NFL Mobile app on his phone. I don't remember the model of his phone. It was a basic phone, not a smartphone/PDA, or anything. The app was really cool. But nearly worthless. When it did work, maybe 1 out of every 10 times he checked it, it was god-awful slow. Most of the time it just timed out and never found the host.

For anyone who's still interested, here are the instructions I got from Sprint on how to get NFL Mobile on the MotoQ:
  1. Click on the Software Store icon or access the mobile web and type softwarestore.sprint.com/wap into the browser:
  2. click on “Free/Demo” link
  3. click on “NFL Mobile”
  4. click “download”
