Question new to the Q with a problem

I jsut switched from a Treo 6 and love it so far, but I ahve one porblema that you may be albe to help me with. when the phone is plugged into the Computer and active sync completed the computer blinks or continually is switching around active screens. As I type this messe the computer keeps switching the title bar from active dark blue ot inactive light blue as if I switched screens. when it does this it does not allow me to use the site for the one sceond interval. This is not allowing me to keep the phone plugged into the computer for any length of time and charge it at the satime minimizing the ables running to the phone. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Keith for loving the phone

hmmm, you try to uninstall and then reinstall active sync? I'm guessing Windows? 2000? XP? Vista? If a Windows user, sometimes a good old fashion defrag and then reinstallation of the app does a world of difference.

Just thinking out loud but . . . Desktop / laptop? USB keyboard / USB mouse (I'm guessing if active sync is on USB, maybe another USB device is screwing around)? Sometimes laptop keyboards (that are going bad) might jitter the pointer / cursor across the screen or focus / unfocus a certain program. At this point, could be anything?

Default Thanks for the input.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I started stopping items in the systme tray to find if it was a particular program. None of htem stopped it. While playing with the computer, I found if I miniized Active sync and reopened it, the blinking or switching stopped. Thats what I am doing for now. Torrow I will unlaod, reboot cycle twice and reinstall and see if hte computer likes it better. For those who come after thi thread, Here are the details
XP, Work Laptop, lots of USB devices hooked up

Thanks
Keith

maybe try switching USB ports or if it's in a USB hub, plug it in directly into the laptop USB ports? if all else fails, maybe it's just a bad USB cable?
