just because you can't ping it does not mean everything.. you can't ping my mail-host, but i get mail never the less :}

thanks... i called sprint (last option) the person didn't know the incoming server for picture mail, but kept giving me sprintpcs mail server info.....i'll call again later and hopefully i can get this info to us. keep you posted.

is this the one you want the address for: http://pictures.sprintpcs.com ? i strongly suspect since you have to pay for it you will not have access to it.

did you talk to adv tech support, I imagine it's not something known by most

well the adv tech was not helpful , but at least she was nice about it. basically, if you want picture messaging to work on sprint, you have to....

on your phone, set-up your @sprintpcs.com account to send pix from, then:

on your computer go to sprint.com

change the reply setting to yournumber@pm.sprint.com

This way, when you send a pic to a friend, when they reply, it comes back to you as a text.

this is the best option we have and hope this helps someone.

ps - a buddy of mine who has a mogul, is in the same predicament, so we shouldn't feel so bad.

maybe so. not quite sure, but how would that benefit them is what is puzzling. maybe in the future they add services, but I doubt it cause the majority public don't need this. you know!!!

Here goes my first post here. I was messing around on my Sanyo M1 and an MMSC URL which is http://mms.sprintpcs.com but I also found an address that PPC users have been using which is http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms and then of course there is http://pictures.sprintpcs.com, BTW if I'm just talking a bunch of stuff that sounds stupid my apologies, these are just my gatherings, anyway, I assume the outgoing server address would be http://mms.sprintpcs.com.....because when a person sends a picture message with Sprint to someone I think it goes through their MMSC. We're going to need a third party program which Q users will be able to enter these settings right because you can't with the new account setup option on the phone. Over at PPCgeeks theres a CAB for Sprint Pocket PCs that allow PPC users to configure picture messaging but it doesn't work on the Q, it just pops up for a second and closes. If you extract the content of this CAB you get configuration files that ultimately build up the CAB and make it work on a PPC. Someone had to have redone a CAB file meant for a similar phone with the ability to send MMS. So why can't we?
