I just got mine this week. I used my $150 rebate and they credited my account for $125 for renewing for 2 years (I'm happy with them and was going to stay anyways). If you can do that the Q gets pretty cheap.

I was not eligible for a rebate and I called retentions and got the Q for $99. My average bill is $115/mo, I pay on time and have been a customer for 5+ years.

Only been a Sprint customer since June of last year. Have talked to 3 CSR's and couldn't get any of them to budge off the $449 price.

Oh well .... will wait for more time under my belt and kept reading these forums.

try retention. the csr also offered me the same 449 deal trying to make it sound good. i told her, i want to cancel my service and when they transferred me it was a cake walk. remember to be nice.

$64,000 question ..... what would be the response if you get hold of someone at retentions (I have 2 phone accounts) .. and I tell them "cancel my Sprint accounts" and their response is: "no problem - we'll get that ball rolling and your termination fees will show up on your last bill"

Sounds right. Add the foreign accent and it is good to go.

then you ask what all is needed for porting the phone numbers and then they will tell you to get new service and they will port the numbers and at that time they note your acount as such. so basically they will try and call you on your bluff and you have left it unfinished and try to call back again and ask the porting question to another retention rep and hope he tries to retain you. either way you will be ok if you leave it open like that.

I am on Sprint SERO, new account since 11/06. Two phones with bill about $90/mo.

First two calls to retentions yielded nothing.

Third call got the phone for $150 and a promise of a "rebate".

I do not however think the rebate will be honored by sprint as this is not a new line of service, so I will call retentions and argue for a service credit.
