I'm pretty sure GPS isn't supported on the Q without external hardware.

Default Sprint GPS on the Motorola Q

I purchsed my Moto Q 10 days ago after being informed by my salesman that with the "Power Vision Ultimate Pack" I would have access to everything including GPS navigation complete with voice instructions. WRONG!!!

It took me almost 6 days fighting with Sprint Customer Support to just get "On Demand" working! Day before yesterday I spent a good three hours with two customer support people and one tech to try and figure out where I could download Sprint's Telenav software AND they were of no help.

After another hour or so of searching, I finally found where I could download the "telenav" software for the Moto Q and installed it. Once installed I tried to use it. I was asked for a password and I tried everything it might have been, last four digits of social security number, password I used to register for "My Sprint" online access and even tried "0000"... Nothing worked.

Yesterday I again called Sprint's tech support and after a 45 minute hold got to a tech. He typed away at his keyboard for about 20 minutes before telling me that telenav would NOT work on the Q UNLESS I purchased a Bluetooth GPS Receiver (about $100) and paid $10/month. I was NOT happy!

I am now in the process of researching other options than Sprint's bundled bull...

With Sprint Q the only thing you need is the Vision Pack for $15 as the other higher plan's features ie. TV, Nav, etc are not supported by the Q.

There are a lot of good things you can do with your Q by reading and searching the forums and any Verizon Customer will tell you $15 for unlimited web access is a good price.

If you wanted to start over there is a SERO plan that even saves more.

I am very happy with my Sprint Q but a little work and a little tech research/savy is needed to get the full benifits.

ya you should really cancel your line now and sign up for sero.

hopefully you didn't port your number though, because its as good as gone. call in to cancel and see if they will let you add sero onto your plan. its da bomb.
