| Jumped Ship I jumped ship from the q9c to the palm centro. It all started out in november when I got the Moto Q, month and a half later I got the q9c, and just the other day I got the centro.
I loved my two q's, but they just couldn't deliver exactly what I wanted. I got SERO and the centro, and I think the centro is quite possibly one of the best devices I have ever bought. WinMo 5 & 6 were great, but they were too dumbed down for smartphones, The palm OS is just amazing in that it has such a plethora of options. I just couldn't believe the ability of the os. My business partner and I both have them and we have our calendars and task managers synchronized.
The phone itself is just a tad small, but I'm adjusting.
The perfect phone in my opinion would be the Q9c, with the palm's touchscreen, with the palm's OS.
Other than that, I may browse around here from time to time, as I still have my q9c active on my girlfriends plan, and she has no idea what to do with the thing.....
Have any of you ever used the centro? |

| Pretty damn good. I went from the q9c with the extended batt to this and I thought I was going to be bumming but I use the thing non-stop all day, texting, emailing, browsing web, and of course: talking, and at the end of the day I have half battery or more. I don't understand what people must do to get the horrible performance that they were talking about.
One thing that annoys me about the phone is you cannot turn the device off. If you hold the end button it says goodbye, then just comes right back up, but the phone side of things is off. In the manual it says the only way to kill power to the device is to pull the battery... So I leave it on 24/7, which is ok anyway because I'm on call 24/7 in my techwork. |

| Does Sprint allow MMS on the centro? Personally I wasn't a fan of the Palm OS, but that's my opinion and why there are different OS out there. Good luck!

Funny . . I usually hear ppl say the opposite about the Palm OS in this day and age . . . stable, but simplistic and outdated. I guess I liked the Palm OS just fine when I had a PDA, but I find that WM6 is more to my liking in terms of what I want to do and how I want it done.
Good luck with the Centro. |

| I had a Handspring Visor Deluxe (old days lol I know) with the Palm OS, but I switched to Windows Mobile with an Axim. I liked the fast-paced use of Palm OS, but I used one of my friend's Treos and I noticed that apart from color and technology, there hasn't been any real upgrades to the look of Palm OS, the one turnoff that made me switch. I am very particular with my aesthetic needs, and Palm OS just never cut it.
Anyway, for some reason, I never fully realized the Centro had a touchscreen. Doh! haha. |
