Is freezing still a problem?

I am getting a new phone because mine freezes a few times a month. I don't usually download anything on my phone. I have about 5-10 consistent contacts who I have. I text like crazy, so the keyboard looks nice. I hear a lot of freezing problems. Should I worry? I hear it's just when you download a lot of things.

well.. i'm not convinced it's due to the amount of programs downloaded.. i have probably between 10-15 apps installed and i can not even remember when it was last that it "froze" on me.

I also have a lot programs installed and am presently not any getting lockups.

I have from time to time when trying certain programs. SKTools was locking so I uninstalled it. Opera did until the ".ini hack" and probally a few other caused problem. (keylock vs Qtasks)

I would try to isolate what software is casing your problem then either uninstall or find a workaround.

I have tons of apps and switch apps often and the only program that freezes is Opera, and it only happens when I load a myspace page with a ton of pics and other garbage. All and all the phone is great with minimal issues. My only problem is sometimes it when Im texting or posting in a forum it will throw letters that I don't post and I have to delete them. Thing is the letter might be several keys away, or when using the dir pad to scroll it will select a hyperlink on its own. I just don't select a person for text until Im done typing unless Im replying, then it will pop an error about no recipient. If someone has a fix for that I would be very happy.

Have you tried the Opera.ini hack:

Go into the opera.ini file, located in \Application Data\Opera, and look in the [Cache] section for a value named "Set File Writer Thread Priority." Change it from 1 to 0.

Most repost no lockup after this. I haven't had one yet.
