iPhone gets MMS...Sprint Q still MMSless

I know where the OP is coming from. Yeah, its not a life or death situation not having an MMS option but personally it just irks me knowing that I have this phone without a feature I know I don't use that much but I do use it so not having the option when I need it really is a peeve. And then knowing that its probably not impossible to somehow get MMS working irks me even more. E-mailing pictures would be totally fine except it shows up as an unknown sender to a recipient and I checked around the registry and other things and couldn't figure out if there was a way to change it somehow to not say unknown. Maybe its incapable though, I mean with ArcSoft on my old Q it was saying NULL by the sender address in my log file so I bet its a phone and/or carrier issue. I would like to work on that project again but it can get very tedious and frustrating but I know that the reward would be worth it.

it shouldnt show up as unknown sender...if it does you're doing something wrong...it should show up as an email from whatever email account you are using to send it.

I'm pretty sure its not me becasue other Sprint users have the same problem with e-mail on their Q/Q9c. It does show who its from if you send it to an e-mail address but not a phone.

To back deadgirl up, it will only show who the message is from if you are sending from the sprint email account that is tied to the phone account.

Just as an update there's still no work around for the hacked MMS program that used to work with Sprint. There is however a program that will help sending MMS over email without having to know the email addresses of other carriers.

Thats what us Q/Q9 users need, a way to send MMS over e-mail. Unfortunately this cool little app doesn't run on my Q9c but yes, it does look very promising.

Oh, I've got the email thing down (just set up your sprint email). I would like to be able to upload pics to facebook though.

I did have Sprint e-mail setup but it still said unknown when I sent a picture to my moms phone for example. Does this happen to you?

I don't think so, but the only person I send pics to is my wife (also on sprint)
